Our Junior School Tour took place on Friday the 14th of June. The children from Juniors – 2nd Class went to Secret Valley Farm and Wildlife Park in Co.Wexford. The children had a really enjoyable day, the weather was good and they saw lots of rare and unusual animals. Everyone got to feed the goats and llamas also which was really fun for all. A super ride on the quad train rounded off a great day. Thanks to all the staff at Secret Valley for making it a great experience.

Roinn D Shield Winners
Well done to the boys from Ballyfacey and Glenmore on recently winning the Cummann na mBunscoil Roinn D Shield Competition. The final took place in Ballyhale on the 6th of June. The team played a brave Ballyragget side who battled very hard but Glenmore/Ballyfacey ran out comfortable winners in the end.
Thanks to all the parents for helping out with transport all year and to Mr. Grant and Mr. O’Gorman for promoting and facilitating the games. Maith sibh!

Knitting, baking and sewing!
Over the past 4 weeks our 5th and 6th classes have been treated to a masterclass in home skills such as knitting, baking and sewing. Thanks to the Women’s Shed in the Glenmore Community Centre our pupils have picked up some great life skills. The children brought home scones, pizzas and buns all made by themselves. The children were taught to knit and sew also. Well done to Miss Kelly for organising and to all involved.
7’s Camogie
Well done to the girls in from 5th and 6th Class in Glenmore/Ballyfacey that recently competed in the INTO Mini Sevens Finals in James Stephens GAA Grounds.
In a tough group we were beaten by Dunnamaggin and Gowran but the team performed with great heart.

Communion Day 2024
On Saturday 11th of May our 2nd Class celebrated their First Holy Communion, along with Ballyfacey N.S. It was a beautiful sunny day and all participants carried out their duties perfectly. Teachers Mr. Grant and Miss Purcell were very proud.
Thanks to all who made it such a special day, Fr. O’Toole, Mary our dedicated sacristan, Mary of parish secretary, Sarah and Noel in the choir and of course the children of both schools.
Well done Callum!
A big maith thú to Callum from 6th class who was recently selected to play in the Cumman na mBunscoil half time game at the Kilkenny V Carlow Leinster Championship game.
The game took place at Dr. Cullen Park in front of a big crowd. Callum had a great experience and got to keep his jersey.
Pentecost Art
A big maith thú to the children in Miss Lonergan’s 3rd and 4th class for their ‘Tongues of Fire’ artwork.
Reminding us all of Pentecost Sunday on Sunday 19th of May this year.

Sevens Success!
A big well done to our Camogie Sevens squad who competed in a recent blitz in Mooncoin. The girls defeated Slieverue, Piltown and Mooncoin to qualify in top spot for the next round of the competition. The blitz was hosted in Mooncoin GAA and everyone involved enjoyed the day.

Easter Egg Fun
We got our Easter celebrations going this year with our annual Easter Egg Hunt. The Egg Hunt was organised by our Student Council who did a fantastic job hiding the eggs! Many thanks to the Parents Council who provided the eggs for hunt as well as the Easter Raffle prizes, always a big favourite of our students in Glenmore.
