Well done Callum!

A big maith thú to Callum from 6th class who was recently selected to play in the Cumman na mBunscoil half time game at the Kilkenny V Carlow Leinster Championship game. 

The game took place at Dr. Cullen Park in front of a big crowd. Callum had a great experience and got to keep his jersey.

Pentecost Art

A big maith thú to the children in Miss Lonergan’s 3rd and 4th class for their ‘Tongues of Fire’ artwork. 

Reminding us all of Pentecost Sunday on Sunday 19th of May this year. 

Sevens Success!

A big well done to our Camogie Sevens squad who competed in a recent blitz in Mooncoin. The girls defeated Slieverue, Piltown and Mooncoin to qualify in top spot for the next round of the competition. The blitz was hosted in Mooncoin GAA and everyone involved enjoyed the day. 

Easter Egg Fun

We got our Easter celebrations going this year with our annual Easter Egg Hunt. The Egg Hunt was organised by our Student Council who did a fantastic job hiding the eggs! Many thanks to the Parents Council who provided the eggs for hunt as well as the Easter Raffle prizes, always a big favourite of our students in Glenmore.

Comórtas Seanfhocail

For Seachtain na Gaeilge the 3rd – 6th class students took part in a competition using well known Seanfhocails. Students displayed their chosen Seanfhocail in poster format with their interpretation of the meaning of each one. The response was fantastic. Maith sibh go léir!

World Book Day

World Book Day gave all the students in Glenmore N.S a great opportunity to dress up as their favourite character from a book or novel. The was a very interesting selection of characters and costumes! 

Well done to the students and parents for all their efforts in making it a special day!

Lambing Time!

The children of Junior and Senior Infants had an unexpected surprise last week. There was great excitement in the room as some new Spring lambs came to visit. The children had a super time handling and looking after them. 

Many thanks to the Claridge family for bringing them in much appreciated. 

   

Go Raibh Maith Agat!

A big ‘Go Raiibh Maith Agat’ to Coach Katie from New Ross RFC and Leinster Rugby. Children from 3rd – 6th completed 6 sessions of tag rugby and skills for beginners. Thanks to Coach Katie who made it all fun and enjoyable for all participants.
