Red Kettle Theatre Company Show 2026

Our friends in the Red Kettle Theatre Company brightened up a dreary wet Friday today. Old friends of the school, they came to visit again today to put on their performance ‘A Tremendous Terrible Tantrum’. The pupils really enjoyed it as always and were part of the dialogue and character dress up. See the slide show below for some fun photos. Looking forward to next year already!

Nollaig Shona Dhaoibh Go Léir!

The principal and staff of SN Shéamuis Naofa would like to wish you all a Happy Christmas and peaceful New Year.

Today the children had their Christmas performance in the Parish Hall. Juniors – 2nd classes performed their Nativity play  ‘A Sleepy Shepherd’. There was fantastic display of singing, dancing and acting from all the boys and girls from junior end of the school.

The senior end of the school gave a wonderful melody of popular Christmas tunes as well as some traditional favourite songs, such a ‘The Rattlin’ Bog’ . The audience really played their part and got involved with their cheerful clapping. Well done to all the pupils and their teachers for all the preparation work.

A big thank you to The Parents Association who organised the raffle and distributed the prizes. The raffle was a huge success and thanks to all who supported.

Michael was greeted at the the front gate by our principal Miss Kelly and our student council members and brought on a tour of the school. He visited all classes interacting with pupils before officially cutting the ribbon to our new impressive classes. Local TD Peter ‘Chap’ Cleere and Cllr Jenny Catt, Fr. Thanks kindly to Paul Mooney photographer for his work on the day.

Sing Out Loud

On Sunday 16th of November our 3rd – 6th classes made the trip to Wexford to perform in the ‘Sing Out Loud’ concert experience. Our school was one of many schools there on the day, where each school sang together with spectacular effect. The journey to the Sing Out Loud stage begins in the classroom with the children’s teachers, assisted by the rehearsal material provided for both teachers and children culminating in an evening of music, performance and fun for the pupils, teachers and the audience alike.

A big thank you to Miss Phelan and Mr. Walsh for preparing the children so well and also to Miss Ryan and Miss Kelly for helping out on the day. Maith sibh go léir!
