Christmas Cheer in Glenmore N.S.

Here is a sample of some of our festive activities and art.

Thanks to the Students Council who organised the Christmas Disco for the junior and senior classes in the school.

The Christmas performance was enjoyed by all. A big thank you to Miss Ryan and Miss Keane’s classes for their nativity performance ‘Whoops A Daisy Angel’.

Mr. Grant’s and Miss Kelly’s classes then treated everyone to a selection of Christmas songs, directed by Miss Cooke.

Thank you also to the Parents Association for the fantastic prizes in the Christmas Raffle.

Ice Skating At Winterval

Students from 3rd to 6th Class enjoyed a excellent morning of Ice Skating at the Waterford Winterval Ice Rink. The cold conditions did not chill the Christmas Spirit and fun. The morning was rounded off by some hot chocolate in Carter’s.

Everyone had a super time. Thank you kindly to Parent’s Association for financial support for the trip and transport costs.

Football Fever 2022

Well done to 5th and 6th class girls who recently reached the semi-finals of the Cummann na mBunscoil Girls 7’s. The girls showed great team spirit and heart. Although beaten by Gowran and Clogh/Mooneenrue the girls had a great victory over Mullinavat. Thank you to the parents for all the help on both days.

Wells House and Gardens

We had a lovely sunny day from our Junior School Tour to Wells House and Gardens in Gorey, on Friday 17th June 2022. Each of our three groups got a taste of life in Wells House in the 1800’s, a chance see and pet the animals and a walk around the Gruffalo and Fairy Trail. There was also lots of fun in the playground afterwards. A great day was had by all our boys and girls in Junior
