Well done to the Glenmore and Ballyfacey team who became the Roinn B Football Champions on the 5th December 2014. The game was very closely contested throughout and Glenmore dug deep to defeat Carrickshock on a scoreline of 2-05 to 2-04. Congratulations to all the team and to the trainers Mr. Grant and Mr. O’Gorman on this well deserved victory!

On the 25th of June 2014, the combined team from Glenmore N.S. and Ballyfacey N.S., became the Roinn C hurling school’s champions. They played Danesfort in a fascinating contest, that ended in a draw, in the team’s first meeting in Nowlan Park (Glenmore 2-9 to Danesfort 3-6). The replay was a one-sided affair, with Glenmore proving to be the superior team on the day, winning with a scoreline of 2-12 to 0-4. Well done and many congratulations to all the team, their trainers Mr. Grant and Mr. O’Gorman and to the supporters who turned out in force to cheer on this great group of lads!
We recently purchased a set of 30 ipads for all the children in the school. Mr. Kennedy’s class are in the process of setting them up and as soon as our sync unit arrives, each class will have the opportunity to make full use of them!
Together with Ballyfacey NS, Glenmore NS recently took part in the Cumann na mBunscoil boys football league. The team battled bravely throughout the 5 games and scored a great win over Kilmacow in the final game. A huge thanks to Mr. Grant for all his efforts and to all the parents who helped with transport during the past few weeks.
A quick mention also to the boys and girls of 5th and 6th class who took part in the I.N.T.O. mini sevens football tournament. Both teams now have a chance of being drawn to play in Croke Park next year.
Well done to the girls of Glenmore NS / Ballyfacey NS who won the Rionn D Camogie title in June beating Conahy NS by 4-9 to 0-1. It was a superb performance and the future looks bright for these young starlets!
Today was the first day that our new Automatic Bell system was in full operation! After a long life of hard work, our old bell has retired but will remain in school just incase we ever need it!
